To varying degrees, we are all familiar with the dream state. Studies show that we spend around one third of our lives sleeping, and a sixth of that is spent dreaming. We dream several times every single night but very few of us make constructive use of this natural mental portal. The dream world offers a rich tapestry of experience, insight, creativity and opportunity for personal growth. Within it, we encounter situations where we can challenge our fears and self-limiting belief systems. We can find artistic expression and insight; we can find creative solutions to daily problems. We can also learn to heal ourselves of emotional and physical ailments, whilst developing greater love, compassion and kindness for ourselves and others. We can also have a lot of fun as we perform the physically impossible, such as flying unaided through the air, breathing underwater or venturing into deep space.
In learning to consciously interact with the dream state, we also deepen our relationship with hidden aspects of ourselves. We learn to reclaim that dormant third of our lives and become an integrated whole. We can do all of this because we no longer passively observe or ignore the dream state, but instead we wake up to it and in doing so, become more aware in our daily lives.
Everyone has the capacity to learn lucid dreaming. The process starts with cultivating techniques that develop deep mental, emotional and physical relaxation through daytime mindfulness practices and audio-guided exercises. There will be night time and early morning training to help you expand your awareness of natural biorhythms which provide ample opportunity for personal growth. In observing the movement of your conscious awareness throughout the day and night, you will discover the times in which the soil is most fertile and fruitful for you to practice.
There are a variety of goals which include:
- Becoming aware of, and interacting with, the dream state
- Developing your optimal practice for lucid dreaming
- Developing greater self-awareness
- Deepening physical and mental relaxation
- Removing and releasing fears and self-limiting beliefs
- Emotional and physical healing
- Using different states of consciousness for creativity and problem solving
- Gaining a different overview of the greater reality
- Learning to quickly navigate the wheel of consciousness
The Lucid Dreaming Intensive consists of progressive, audio-guided exercises and interactive group sessions. Developing mindfulness is a key element to successful lucid dreaming and so every moment will be an opportunity for personal growth.
