Hemi-Sync® Technology being used in Clinical Research to help Combat Veterans
In the late fall of 2010, we were contacted by a Deputy Chief at the Center for Nursing Science and Clinical Inquiry in Washington, DC, about the feasibility of a research project using Hemi-Sync®. The goal was to assess the efficacy of binaural beat technology “on anxiety and cardiovascular health among combat veterans in a military setting.” We were more than happy to participate in the desire to help our military, but also in the interest of obtaining pragmatic information about how binaural beats can positively affect our well-being.
After considerations and much work, the research study used our Metamusic® title Dreamland (in various forms) to create the basis of the project, and began implementing these audio files in June, 2012.
As it is our first registered clinical trial, we’re looking forward to the information provided by these efforts, and hope to use what we learn to further assist our servicemen and women in their pursuits of alleviating stress and getting some rest.
We will keep you apprised as more information comes in. We hope that these findings will enable more research, thereby providing better sonic environments for those of us who could really use it.
